do the children of Gaza come to visit you
and let them know
that everything will be ok
that soon they will see their parents again
just as Husayn returned to you at Karbala
and that one day your grandchild will rise
and the whole world will be free
from the Atlantic to the Pacific
and that when all is said and done
and history is over
you and your father will gather
everyone who has built their home
in a world beyond fear and grief
that right now just seems so distant
do you comfort them in this way
because I need comforting too
