لا إله إلا الله

there is so much

that i can’t carry with me

to where i must go

but You do not need to be carried

You created that place

and all who dwell there

Witnessing the dream-fears of every heart

so You

“O Inward in Your Outwardness”

be with me

through the remembrance

that You know my dreams even when i cannot say them

and encompass my fears even as i run from them

“suffice me

in my worries regarding both this world and the Hereafter

O Most Merciful of those who show mercy“
